Can I Pause or Downgrade a Digistore24 Subscription?
Digistore24's help pages describe cancelling and changing a plan, not pausing. Here is what the customer portal offers, and nine offers whose plans differ.
Can I pause a Digistore24 subscription?
Digistore24's help pages that we read describe cancelling, changing the payment method and changing the plan. They do not describe a pause. Ask the vendor if you want one.
We read Digistore24's help article on how to cancel a subscription and its article on the customer portal. Neither mentions pausing, skipping a payment or freezing a plan. We also searched our own reviews and found no offer that records a pause option.
That does not prove a vendor will refuse. A seller can offer its own pause inside the product, and Digistore24 says payment and cancellation terms vary with the agreement made at purchase. But it is not something you can count on, so ask before you pay. Our guide to who to contact, Digistore24 or the vendor explains who answers what.
What can I change in the Digistore24 customer portal?
You can view orders, download invoices, cancel a subscription, change the payment method and, if the vendor offers it, change the payment plan.
The portal needs no password or account. You enter the email address from your purchase and a one-time code, valid for 15 minutes, arrives by email. Per the help center, buyers do not register with Digistore24; registration is for vendors and affiliates.
For an order, you click Order details. Under the current subscription you will see Cancel subscription and, where available, Change plan, then you pick a plan and a payment method and click Update now. Changing the payment method works for ongoing payments such as subscriptions or installment plans, and is subject to approval by the new payment provider.
Customer portal options per Digistore24
- View order details and invoice history
- Download invoices as PDF
- Cancel a subscription, if the requirements are met
- Change the payment method for ongoing payments
- Change the payment plan, depending on the product
- Pay outstanding balances
Can I downgrade to a cheaper plan instead of cancelling?
Only if the vendor built a cheaper plan into the order form. Digistore24's own example is a switch from a monthly to an annual subscription, which is not available for every product.
| Product | Category | Offer score | Price | Billing | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Mystery of Nils (Norwegian Course, A1/A2) | Education | 7.6/10 | $28.50 | Subscription: $28.50 per month | Worth it |
| TubeMagic (Early Access) | Software & Tech | 6.2/10 | $47 | Subscription: $47 per month plus sales tax | Pass |
| Speed Wealth System | Make Money Online | 5.9/10 | $49 | Subscription: $49 per month | Worth a look |
| ExpertSlides Pro Plan (PowerPoint Add-In, subscription) | Software & Tech | 6.8/10 | $228 | Recurring yearly subscription (or monthly) | Worth it |
| FITin56 | Health & Fitness | 6.4/10 | $57 | Subscription: $57 now, then $57 every 3 months, cancel anytime | Worth a look |
| Extreme Tipster | Trading | 7.0/10 | $19.45 | Subscription: $19.45 now, then $21.61 per month | Worth it |
The help center says Change plan is shown if the vendor offers it, for example to switch from monthly to annual. It does not describe tiers like Basic and Pro. In our reviews the second plan is almost always a longer billing period, not a smaller product.
Our review data show how the options differ. Mystery of Nils is $28.50 a month or $283.93 a year. TubeMagic is $47 a month or $497 a year before tax. Speed Wealth System is $49 a month or $499 a year. ExpertSlides Pro is $29 a month or $228 a year. Those yearly plans are cheaper than twelve months of the monthly price by $58.07, $67, $89 and $120, which is 17%, 12%, 15% and 34%, before tax. A yearly plan commits you for longer, so it is a saving only if you will use the product that long.
What other plan options show up on order forms?
Besides monthly and yearly, we see quarterly plans, one-time payments for a fixed period and trials that roll into a monthly charge. Always read which plan is preselected.
FITin56 lists a quarterly membership at $57 every 3 months, plus one-time payments of $85 for 6 months and $114 for 1 year. Extreme Tipster has a monthly plan, a quarterly plan and a 24-month unlimited plan at $147.59 once. The Biorhythm starts at $0.99 for a trial, then $37 a month, with a 0-day refund window on that plan, while a separate $159 yearly item shows 365 days.
Pages can also show a plan the form does not. Reading Head Start charges $1 and then $37 a month on the form, while the page mentions 1-year and lifetime plans at $197 that the form does not show. In our guide on subscriptions that look like one-time purchases we cover how to spot them, and free trials and delayed billing covers the date you must mark.
When is cancelling the only option, and when does it not work?
If no cheaper plan exists, cancelling is the way to stop billing. The cancel button shows only for private buyers with no outstanding payment and a cancellable plan.
Digistore24 separates cancellation, which ends a subscription at the next possible date, from revocation, which withdraws from the contract retroactively and is possible only within the legal period. Business buyers cannot cancel online and must contact Digistore24 support. Some payment plans are not cancellable and end only after the period you agreed at purchase.
If the button is missing, check for an unpaid payment and for the plan type. Our full walkthrough is in the guide on how to cancel a Digistore24 subscription, and the payment plans guide covers installments.
How common are subscriptions in our catalog?
Uncommon. As of October 2026, 69 of 1920 reviewed offers bill as a subscription or recurring charge, and 9 of them earned a Worth it verdict.
We counted reviews whose billing line starts with Subscription or Recurring. Of the 69, 9 are Worth it (13%), 33 Worth a look and 27 Pass (39%). Their median score is 5.4, while the remaining offers have a median of 6.1. Subscription billing is not a defect on its own, but it adds a date to watch, and our methodology scores billing clarity like any other term. If you would rather not manage a plan, many offers are a single payment, such as the Annual Budget Planner 2026 bundle at $47 once or BookCoverly at $97 once.
What should I do before I subscribe?
Read the plan lines on the order form, note the cheapest and longest plans, and write down how you would cancel before you pay.
Before you subscribe
- Read the preselected plan and the amount of the first and later payments.
- Check whether the form offers a longer plan and compute the total for twelve months.
- Find your order ID in the confirmation email, which you need to cancel.
- Ask the vendor in writing whether a pause or a lower plan exists.
- Set a reminder for the day before a trial ends or a renewal date.
- If the plan cannot be changed, decide your cancellation date now.
A little preparation avoids most of the trouble.
Frequently asked questions
Does Digistore24 let you pause a subscription?
The help articles we read describe cancelling, changing the payment method and changing the plan, but not pausing. Contact the product vendor if you want a pause.
How do I switch from monthly to yearly on Digistore24?
Sign in to the customer portal, open Order details and click Change plan under the current subscription, if the vendor offers it. Choose a plan and click Update now.
Why is there no cancel button on my Digistore24 order?
Per Digistore24, the button appears only if you bought as a private customer, you have no outstanding payments and the plan can be cancelled. Business buyers must contact support.
Is changing to a yearly plan cheaper?
Often, but not always. On the order forms we reviewed, the yearly price was 12% to 34% below twelve monthly payments before tax, but it commits you for a year.
Do I need an account to manage a Digistore24 subscription?
No. The customer portal needs only the email address used for the purchase and a one-time code, which is valid for 15 minutes.
