How to Read a Digistore24 Order Form Before You Pay

Why read the order form instead of the sales page?

Because the order form is the contract. It shows what Digistore24 will actually charge, how often and under which terms, while the sales page is marketing written by the vendor.

Across 378 offers we have seen sales pages announce one price and checkouts charge another, one-time prices turn into monthly billing, and carts arrive pre-filled. None of that is hidden in a technical sense. It is all printed on the order form. It is simply easy to skip when you are excited to buy.

What should you check on a Digistore24 order form?

Seven things, in this order: the total, any recurring line, the cart contents, the currency, the voucher, the delivery line and the refund terms.

The 7-point order form checklist

1. The Total. Read the final amount at the bottom, including tax and shipping, and compare it with the sales page.
2. The recurring line. Look for a plus sign followed by monthly, yearly or a number of payments.
3. The cart. Count the products listed. If there is more than one, find out whether you added it.
4. The currency. Some offers are priced in euros and converted, so the dollar figure moves with the exchange rate.
5. The voucher. See whether a discount code is applied and whether the struck-through price is ever actually charged.
6. The delivery line. It says whether you get a download, access to a members area or a shipped item. Make sure it matches what the page promised.
7. The refund terms. Note the guarantee or withdrawal period and whether a checkbox waives your right of withdrawal for digital content.

How do you spot a subscription on the checkout?

Look past the Total. A subscription usually shows a first amount and then a second amount with a period, and the Total only reflects today's charge.

The most extreme example we have recorded is Paid Online Jobs Writing. The order form total says $1.00. The line below it says $47.00 monthly, starting three days later. Left running for a year, that is about $565.

7 FIGURE MASTERY goes further and shows a total of $0.00, followed by six monthly payments of $24.99, which adds up to $149.94. The Food Analysis Tool reads $87 plus $87 yearly. In each case the information is on the form. The Total alone just does not tell the story.

Can a Digistore24 cart include items you did not add?

Yes. Some vendors link to an order form that already contains extra products or a membership, so always count what is in the cart.

The link for the Software Testing Course opens a checkout with three courses in it and a total of $467. Two of those courses are listed there at $200 each. Sold on their own, the same two courses cost $27 each, including the Risk Management Course, which is one of the best-scoring offers on this site.

Modern Relationships for Women adds a membership at $7.95 a month to the course by default. The course is $61.08, the total is $69.03, and the membership keeps billing after the first month until you cancel it.

Why can the same product cost less from the sales page?

Because the vendor's buy button often carries a voucher code in the link. Open the checkout from that button and the discount applies; open a bare checkout link and it may not.

Pinterest Passive Income costs $27 through the vendor's button, which applies the voucher PinterestPassive, and $97 without it. The Frequency Shift Protocol is $47 with its voucher and $97 without.

Vouchers do not always work in your favor. The Women's Hormone Blueprint advertises $44.99 on its sales page, yet the checkout still charged $71.99 with the vendor's own BUNDLE27 code applied. If the total does not match what the page promised, stop and do not pay the difference.

What should you look for in the refund terms?

The length of the guarantee or return period, when it starts, and whether you are asked to tick a box that ends your right of withdrawal once you get a download.

Digistore24's help center explains that vendors choose a return period when they set up a product, up to 180 days, and that the period starts with the first payment. For digital downloads, the right of withdrawal can end once you receive an active download link, if you agreed to that with a checkbox on the order form.
