Affiliate disclosure

The short version

Worthorpass participates in affiliate programs, principally the Digistore24 marketplace. When you click a link on this site and buy a product, the vendor pays us a commission through Digistore24.

You pay exactly the same price you would pay if you found the product yourself. The commission comes out of the vendor's margin, not out of your pocket.

What the commission does not change

Scores are set before affiliate links are added to a page, using the four criteria described on our about page. A higher commission rate has never raised a score and never will.

Products we score badly keep their scores, keep their reviews and keep their links. If we thought commissions should decide our rankings, we would not have published a 3.0 alongside a 7.8 in the same category.

How affiliate links are marked

Every outbound link to a product we may earn from carries the rel attribute sponsored nofollow noopener, opens in a new tab, and sits beside a visible note saying it is an affiliate link. A disclosure bar appears at the top of every page on this site, and this notice is repeated in the footer.

This is required by the United States Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides, and by comparable rules in the EU and UK. We would do it anyway, but it is worth knowing that it is not optional.

Who we are not affiliated with

Worthorpass is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or operated by Digistore24 GmbH. We are an independent publisher using its affiliate program. Digistore24 is the seller of record for the products we review, which is why refunds and receipts come from them rather than from the vendor or from us.

We have no ownership stake in any product reviewed on this site, and no vendor has any ownership stake in this site.
