Our data

Does a Higher Price Mean a Better Digistore24 Offer?

We split 1,920 scored offers into five price bands. Paying more did not buy a better offer, and the band from $100 to $300 had the lowest share of Worth it ratings.

Does a Higher Price Mean a Better Digistore24 Offer?

Does a higher price mean a better Digistore24 offer?

No. In our catalog, expensive offers do not score higher than cheap ones, and the price-to-score correlation across 1,920 offers is -0.07, close to zero.

We went into this expecting at least a weak link. A $500 program should have more behind it than a $9 PDF, so it should be clearer, better documented and more honest about what you get. The data says otherwise.

As of October 2026, 1920 offers are scored on Worthorpass. Of those, 224 are rated Worth it, 977 Worth a look and 719 Pass. We grouped them by listed price and compared each group. The result: the price tag tells you how much you will pay and very little about what you will get.

How did we compare price and score?

We put every offer in one of five bands by its listed price, then compared average score, rating mix and the seven subscores. Everything was computed from our product data, not estimated.

The bands are under $20, $20 to $49.99, $50 to $99.99, $100 to $299.99 and $300 and up. Prices are the numbers listed in each review. Of the 1,920 offers, 1,849 are priced in US dollars, 66 in euros and 5 in pounds. We did not convert currencies, so a euro price sits in a band by its face value. The effect on the picture is small because the euro and pound offers are 71 of 1,920.

Every offer is scored on seven criteria: offer clarity, value for money, refund terms, vendor transparency, pricing honesty, delivery access and claim discipline. The score and the Worth it, Worth a look or Pass label come from those. You can read how in our methodology.

One more limit. We audit the sales page and the order form. We never bought or used any of these products, so the score says how honest and clear the offer is, not whether the product changes your life.

What do the five price bands show?

Average scores sit in a narrow range, 5.68 to 5.99, and the cheapest band scores highest on average. No band is clearly better than the rest.

Here are the numbers as of October 2026, from the 1,920 offers in the catalog.

Under $20: 468 offers, average score 5.99, 57 Worth it (12.2%), 210 Pass (44.9%). From $20 to $49.99: 943 offers, average 5.96, 105 Worth it (11.1%), 317 Pass (33.6%). From $50 to $99.99: 282 offers, average 5.80, 46 Worth it (16.3%), 108 Pass (38.3%).

From $100 to $299.99: 178 offers, average 5.68, 11 Worth it (6.2%), 69 Pass (38.8%). At $300 and up: 49 offers, average 5.76, 5 Worth it (10.2%), 15 Pass (30.6%).

Average score by price band (October 2026)

  • Under $20: 468 offers, average 5.99
  • $20 to $49.99: 943 offers, average 5.96
  • $50 to $99.99: 282 offers, average 5.80
  • $100 to $299.99: 178 offers, average 5.68
  • $300 and up: 49 offers, average 5.76

What do you get for paying more?

Mostly not more value. The value-for-money subscore drops from 5.37 under $20 to 3.42 at $300 and up, and the refund subscore falls in the top band too.

The value-for-money average by band runs 5.37, 4.41, 4.48, 3.95 and 3.42, from cheapest to dearest. In plain terms, as the price climbs the offer tends to justify it less, at least from what the sales page and checkout show.

Refund terms tell a similar story at the top. The average refund subscore is 7.65 under $20 and 7.85 for $20 to $49.99, but 6.82 at $300 and up. In that top band, 10.2% of offers score 4 or below on refund terms, against 3.2% under $20. The more money you hand over, the more it can matter that the refund window is short.

Claim discipline is the one subscore that is highest at the top (5.37 at $300 and up against 4.66 under $20), though still near the middle of the scale. Vendor transparency is lowest under $20 (3.45), which fits the many anonymous low-priced ebooks.

Can a cheap offer beat an expensive one?

Yes, regularly. The Worth it offers in the table below cost $3 to $99.99 and score 7.9 or higher, while a $1,997 offer scored 4.1 and got a Pass.

24 Menus from Madeira: A Culinary Journey with 72 Recipes Cooking 8.3/10 EUR 19.80 One-time payment Worth it
Contract Aura Software & Tech 8.2/10 $64 One-time payment, free updates Worth it
Living With An English Bull Terrier Pets 8.0/10 $3 One-time payment Worth it
101 Easy Scroll Saw Patterns Hobbies & Crafts 7.9/10 $99.99 One-time payment Worth it
4-Week Guitar Technique Challenge Music & Audio 7.9/10 $29 One-time payment, unlimited access Worth it
Aligned Love Archetypes: 30-Day Connection Blueprint Relationships 7.9/10 $37 One-time payment Worth it

Living With An English Bull Terrier costs $3 and scores 8.0, because the authors are named, the content is listed chapter by chapter and the page price matches the order form. 24 Menus from Madeira charges EUR 19.80 and scores 8.3. 4-Week Guitar Technique Challenge at $29 scores 7.9.

At the other end, Millionaire Partner System lists $1,997 and scores 4.1 with a Pass, mostly because of a specific income promise and a comparison value of $127,149 that nobody actually pays. Not every high price is a problem: SalesForge Pro at $447 scores 6.9 and lands in Worth a look.

The best-scored offers are not the dearest either. Contract Aura, a self-hosted contract drafting tool, costs $64 once and scores 8.2.

Is a high price ever justified?

Sometimes. A high price can be fair when the offer states what you get, who sells it and how to get your money back. Price alone cannot show that.

101 Easy Scroll Saw Patterns costs $99.99 and scores 7.9. It earns that with a named designer, an exact file count and a licence that says what you may sell. Even so, it scores only 5.5 on value for money, and the listing advertises no seller refund promise. The offer is honest. Whether 101 PDFs are worth a hundred dollars is still a personal call.

Inside single categories the pattern repeats. In health and fitness (534 offers) the price-to-score correlation is -0.10. In make money online (377 offers) it is -0.14. Even inside a category, paying more did not mean a better score.

Why can the listed price mislead?

Because the headline number is not always the whole cost. A recurring line, an extra tool or a currency switch can change what you pay, whatever the band.

Contract Aura is $64, but you also pay for your own AI usage through an OpenRouter key. A monthly plan shown as a small figure adds up over a year. Several of our pricing findings are in Digistore24 pricing tricks, and crossed-out prices explains why a big struck-through number says nothing about value.

So compare the order form total, not the headline price. Our order form checklist shows which lines to read first.

What should you check instead of price?

Check who sells it, what exactly is included, whether the order form matches the page, and how long you can get a refund. These predict a good offer better than the price does.

Five checks that matter more than the price

  1. Find a named seller, and see who actually sells it.
  2. Compare the sales page price with the order form total.
  3. Read the refund window on the order form, not only on the page.
  4. Look for a clear list of what is included, such as page count or lesson count.
  5. Treat income, health or cure promises as a reason to slow down, whatever the price.

Use this short list before paying for anything, cheap or dear.

Frequently asked questions

Are more expensive Digistore24 products better?

Are cheap ebooks on Digistore24 a scam?

No. Several of our best-scored offers cost under $30. But 210 of 468 offers under $20 (44.9%) are rated Pass, so the price is not the safety signal. Read the review first.
