Who Actually Sells It? Checking the Seller Before You Buy
Every order on Digistore24 has two parties you rarely see at once: the platform that takes your money and the vendor who made the product. Here is how to find the second one.
Who is on the other side of the order?
Digistore24 sells the product and processes the payment; the vendor created it and delivers it. Both matter, for different reasons.
When you pay, the contract is with Digistore24, which acts as reseller. That is why refunds and cancellations run through the platform, as our refund guide explains. But the product itself, its quality, its updates and any support after the refund window, comes from the vendor.
That vendor can be a registered company with a phone number, a solo creator with a real name, or a merchant account with a nickname and nothing else. Across the 680 offers we have reviewed, the difference shows up in the scores more often than any other single factor.
1. Where do you find the vendor's name?
Check the sales page footer, the imprint or contact page, and the order form. If none of them names a person or company, note that before paying.
Start at the bottom of the sales page. Real businesses publish a company name, a postal address and usually a support email. Then open the order form: it shows the product and sometimes the merchant, but often only Digistore24's own details.
Advanced Joint Support is an example of the easy case: an established supplement company with a shop and a phone line. ExpertSlides names its software brand and product plainly. Both let you check the seller outside the funnel.
2. Is the author using a pen name?
A pen name is not illegal, but it removes the easiest way to check a claim of expertise.
Energy Revolution System says its author uses the pen name Michael Garnett to stay anonymous, while promising an invention that wipes out power bills. Fast Brain Booster states outright that its author David Clark is a pen name. When the product rests on the author's authority, an invented name leaves you with only the sales video.

3. Is the merchant only a nickname?
Merchant accounts on Digistore24 can carry any name. A code like DS123456789 tells you nothing about who you are dealing with.
Weight Loss 2.0 is sold by a merchant registered as DS123456789, with no company, address or author on the page. From Zero To Off-Grid Hero invites visitors to call a personal assistant on a 555 number, the range reserved for fiction in North America.
None of this proves the content is bad. It proves that if something goes wrong after the refund window, there is nobody to write to.
4. Does the page look copied from somewhere else?
Leftover text from other platforms or templates shows how carefully the page, and maybe the product, was put together.
The Energy Revolution page still tells buyers to contact ClickBank for order support, although the sale runs through Digistore24. Liposomal Hair Renewal carried a testimonial that was still Lorem ipsum placeholder text signed AFFILIATE NAME.
Small slips like these are useful signals precisely because they are unintentional. They tell you nobody checked the page before it went live.
5. How does seller transparency affect our verdicts?
