Is It Safe to Pay by Card on Digistore24?
Digistore24 sells as the merchant of record and works with known payment providers. Safe payment is not the same as a good product. Here is what we saw in checkouts.
Is it safe to pay by card on Digistore24?
Digistore24 describes itself as the seller of record that works with well-known payment providers. That covers the payment step. It says nothing about whether the product is any good.
We should be clear about what we can and cannot say. Worthorpass audits the sales page and the order form of each offer. We never bought or used any product, and we do not test payment security. So we cannot certify how your card data is protected.
What we can report is what Digistore24 itself states on its buyer page (listed under sources) and what we saw on 1920 order forms: the totals, the currency, the refund windows and the recurring lines. Those are the parts of a card payment you can actually check before you click Buy.
What does Digistore24 say about buying and paying?
On its buyer page, Digistore24 says it works as a reseller, so you buy from Digistore24 and not from the vendor, and that it only works with well-known, established payment providers.
The page, which we loaded as of October 2026, lists these points for buyers. It says products go through an approval process, that terms such as price, duration and cancellation periods are shown on the order form before purchase, and that the order confirmation email links to your invoice and support address.
It also says the company has been in the US market for over 5 years and gives a legal address for Digistore24, Inc. in St. Petersburg, Florida. These are the platform's own statements. What the buyer page says Digistore24 handles
- You buy from Digistore24, not directly from the vendor or affiliate
- Invoicing and customer service run through Digistore24
- Payment providers are described as well known and established, such as PayPal or Klarna
- Price, possible durations and cancellation periods appear on the order form

What does merchant of record mean for your card?
It means the charge on your statement comes from the platform that sold to you, not from the vendor whose sales page you read. Expect a company name you may not recognize.
Because Digistore24 is the reseller, the order confirmation email is the document to keep. It has the order ID, the invoice link and the payment plan you agreed to. The buyer page notes that the order ID can also appear with the charge itself.
If you see an unfamiliar charge after buying, match it to the confirmation email first. Digistore24 says to include your order ID and the email you used when contacting its helpdesk, or a screenshot of the charge. That is how the platform says it assigns a request. What did we see in the checkouts?
Mostly clear totals, but with details that change what your card is charged: euro billing, VAT for some countries, recurring plans and a few carts that load with extras.

As of October 2026 our catalog holds 1,920 offers, and 790 of the price notes mention a Digistore24 order form. A further 396 mention ClickBank, so not every offer we audit uses Digistore24, and this article's platform statements apply to Digistore24 only.
On currency: 71 offers are listed in euros or pounds, and 62 price notes record that the form bills in euros or another currency, so your card converts the amount. 24 Menus from Madeira is one example: the form charges EUR 19.80 once for a US address, and your card converts it. We cannot say what your card issuer charges for conversion, so ask it.
On tax: 138 price notes record a different total for a German buyer, such as Living With An English Bull Terrier, which charges $3.00 for a US buyer and EUR 3.12 for a German one.
Can the card charge be more than the price you saw?
Yes, in three ways: a recurring plan, a cart with extras, or costs outside the checkout. The order form total is the number that matters, and the first payment may not be the last.
In our catalog, 67 offers bill as subscriptions or recurring plans. As of October 2026, 8 of them are Worth it, 36 Worth a look and 23 Pass. A recurring line on the order form means your card is charged again, so read it before paying. Our order form checklist shows where it appears.
Some carts open with more than you chose. The checkout for Software Testing Course (Scrum bundle) opens preloaded with three courses totalling $467, although the course it advertises is $67. See pre-ticked add-ons and order bumps.
Costs can also sit outside the checkout. Contract Aura charges $64 once, but you also pay your own AI usage through an OpenRouter key, and hosting is a small recurring cost the sales page does not mention.
What happens if you want your money back?
Check the refund window on the order form before paying. Digistore24 says refund requests go through its helpdesk with your order ID, and it aims to answer within 48 hours on weekdays.
Refund windows vary by offer. 1,204 of our 1,920 price notes record a 60-day window on the order form, and 19 record only 14 days. 4-Week Guitar Technique Challenge is a $29 course we score at 7.9, and the review flags its 14-day window as the one weak spot. 101 Easy Scroll Saw Patterns lists no money-back guarantee from the seller.
For subscriptions, the buyer page says you can usually cancel recurring payments on the order confirmation page, provided there are no pending payments, or by emailing the helpdesk. What are the limits of this answer?
We did not buy anything, did not test card security and cannot predict a dispute. A safe payment step does not mean a good product: of 1920 offers, 719 are rated Pass.
Our counts come from price notes written when we opened each order form, so a seller can change a form afterwards. Treat the numbers as a snapshot dated October 2026.
