We rank by offer score, which is how clearly and honestly the offer is presented, not whether the dog training works. We have not bought or used any of these. We read the sales page and the order form and score what the seller states.

The table below shows all ten, ordered by score, with price, billing and refund window taken from the review data. The breed ebook leads, the cheap handbook and the premium course sit mid-table, and a keepsake journal closes the list. The scoring is explained on our methodology page.

Which guides are in this ranking?

Ten dog-specific guides from the pets category: training, house training, care, feeding and breed ownership. Cat guides and pet-grooming business manuals are left out.

The pets category holds 19 reviews as of October 2026. This list takes the ones aimed at dog owners. The rest cover cats, a chameleon, grooming businesses and one unfinished parcel listing, and are covered in our guide to pet health and nutrition offers.

All ten are one-time payments. None bills monthly, which is worth knowing because it removes a common trap on Digistore24. The median price is $36.95, ranging from $3 to $120.

What do the top three have in common?

A seller you can identify, claims limited to what the page can show, and a price that matches the order form.

Living With An English Bull Terrier costs $3 and scores 8.0. The authors are named with a UK address, the chapters are listed from choosing a puppy to vet visits, and the page says it is a personal account, not professional advice. The seller scores 8 on both vendor transparency and claim discipline.

The Good Boy Guide is a $27 fourteen-day plan with short daily sessions plus an AI chat coach. It scores 7.1 but is Worth a look rather than Worth it, because the order form names no author and vendor transparency is only 4. Our review notes the AI coach is a chatbot, not a behaviourist.

Brain Training for Dogs is the only paid course among the top three at $67, and it is Worth it at 6.9. It names its trainer with a stated certification, lists specific behavior problems and gives a 60-day refund, though no lesson count.

Is a higher price a sign of a better guide?

No. The cheapest guide is first at $3 and the most expensive, at $120, ranks fourth at 6.6 with a 3.5 on value for money.

Potty Train Your Dog charges $120 for a seven-day house-training plan. The checkout total is stated and refunds run through Digistore24 GmbH, but no page count, running time or author is published, so the price cannot be weighed against the material.

The Ultimate Dog Sitting Handbook costs $7.96 and scores 6.5, with a clear outline and a 60-day refund, but no author or length. The odd price suggests a euro price converted to dollars. See prices converted from euro.

The Dog Food Sensitivity report is a $49 personalised label analysis scoring 6.3. Nobody is named as the analyst, and a vet can check food sensitivities properly, often through an elimination diet.

Why do the bottom guides score lower?

Mostly because of what the sales page promises, not the price. Claim discipline averages 3.9 in the bottom five against 7.1 in the top five.

REAL FOOD for Dogs is a $37 cookbook with over 100 recipes and a bundle of three extra books at the same price. It is a Pass at 6.1 because the page says the method could protect dogs from cancer and organ failure, and the vet who approved the recipes is not named. Its claim discipline is 2.5.

Nutrition for Dogs: Homemade Food Without Secrets gives page, chapter and recipe counts at $36.90, yet names no seller and still carries leftover Portuguese. Dog Trainer Bible at $47 promises to train any dog quickly without listing contents or the trainer.

The Pet Parenting Keepsake Book closes the list at 5.5. A $13 journal for a puppy's first year, its page still shows an internal editing note in place of a testimonial. We are not saying the book is poor, only that this is an unfinished page asking for money.

What separates the top of the list from the bottom?

Claim discipline and seller transparency. Pricing honesty and refund terms are close to equal across the list, so they do not separate good offers from weak ones.

We compared average sub-scores for the top five against the bottom five. Claim discipline is 7.1 against 3.9 and vendor transparency is 4.9 against 3.7. Pricing honesty is 7.8 against 7.6, and refund terms are 8.1 against 8.0.

Six of the ten score 4 or lower on vendor transparency, and under our verdict floors a seller that scores that low cannot be Worth it. A seller who will not name an author keeps an otherwise decent guide at Worth a look. See offers with no named author.

Dogs with aggression, resource guarding or serious anxiety need a qualified trainer in the room. Several of our reviews say the same, and no guide in this list changes that. See also dog and cat training guides: what to check.

How do I pick a dog guide before paying?

Check who wrote it, what it promises, what the order form charges and how long you can ask for a refund, in that order.

Five checks

  1. Find the author or trainer by name and see whether any credential is stated.
  2. Look for a table of contents, page count or lesson count before you pay.
  3. Treat claims about disease prevention in a dog's diet as a reason to ask your vet first.
  4. Compare the order form total with the sales page price.
  5. Note the refund window on the order form and keep your confirmation email.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best dog training guide on Digistore24?

By our offer score, Brain Training for Dogs is the best paid training course at 6.9, with a named certified trainer and a 60-day refund. The Good Boy Guide scores 7.1 at $27 but names no author.

Is Brain Training for Dogs worth it?

Our verdict is Worth it at 6.9. A single $67 payment, a named certified trainer and a 60-day refund help it, though no lesson count is stated. It is not a replacement for in-person help with aggression.

Are dog training ebooks on Digistore24 subscriptions?

None of the ten dog guides we reviewed bills monthly. Each is a one-time payment, as of October 2026. Always check the order form for pre-ticked add-ons before you pay.

Is a homemade dog food ebook safe to follow?

We do not assess whether recipes work. Two of the reviewed dog food ebooks carry health claims we rate low, and both pages tell you to check with a vet. Ask your vet before changing a dog's diet.

Do dog training guides work for aggressive dogs?

Our reviews of these guides say aggression, resource guarding and severe anxiety need a qualified trainer or vet in person. A $27 plan or a chatbot coach is not a substitute.
