Courses About Creating and Selling Online Courses: What to Check

11 offers teach you to create and sell an online course: $14 to $497, 2 Worth it, 8 Worth a look, 1 Pass. What to check before you pay for one, as of October 2026.

Courses About Creating and Selling Online Courses: What to Check

What should you check before buying a course about creating courses?

Check four things: a stated amount of content, a named teacher or seller, a named platform or method, and a refund window that matches between the sales page and the order form.

Courses about making courses are a sub-genre of the business-opportunity niche. They sell to experts who want to package what they know, and they carry the same risks as other make money online courses: vague contents, anchor prices and income hints.

The useful test is whether the offer itself practices what it teaches. A course on creating courses should be able to say how many lessons it has, how long it runs and what you end up with. The offers that do are the ones that earn a Worth it. Our methodology explains the seven criteria behind each score.

How many of these offers have we scored, and how do they rate?

Eleven, as of October 2026. Two are Worth it, eight are Worth a look and one is a Pass, with prices from $14 to $497 and a median of $37.

We built this set by reading the catalog for offers whose main subject is creating, packaging or selling a course. It deliberately leaves out general digital-product guides and ad courses, so the count is narrower than the make-money-online category (377 offers). All eleven are one-time payments.

The table lists every offer in the set with its price, score and verdict.

What does a well-specified course-creation offer look like?

It states its contents and its platform. Masterclass Mastery lists 50 lessons, 8.5 hours of video and Thinkific hosting for $47, with a 60-day guarantee, and scores 7.3.

That is the checkable detail the method rewards. You can compare 8.5 hours of video at $47 against any other offer, and you can look up the platform before paying. The review also notes the limits: the instructor is not named on the checkout and sales still depend on having an audience.

The other Worth it offer is narrower. Plan Your First 3-Day Challenge costs $25, comes from named author Dejan Majkic, runs on Thinkific with homework and has a 60-day refund window. It only helps if you already have something to sell, and its revenue figures come from the author's own single event.

Why do so many offers look the same?

Seven of the 11 are FitLife Solutions ebooks at $37 each, with near-identical structure. All seven score 6.3 to 6.6 and all seven are Worth a look.

Titles vary by audience: Online Course Empire for Beginners, in 30 Days, Without Experience, After 40 and more, plus AI Course Creation Assistant Guide After 40. Several list six chapters running from topic choice to a first 100 students.

The reviews give these offers credit for a clean checkout: $37 once, a 60-day refund window matching the sales page, no pre-ticked add-on. They hold back on substance: no named author, no page count and templated descriptions. If you are looking at one, the pattern is described in template publishers: many titles, one price. Pick at most one title, since the structure repeats.

What the FitLife offers do not tell you before you pay

  • Who wrote the ebook (no author is named on the pages reviewed)
  • How long it is (no page count)
  • Whether any sample chapter exists
  • Which platform, if any, they recommend for hosting a course

Is a $497 course-creation system worth it?

Not on the evidence we have. Course Creator System costs $497 and scores 5.2, because the page never states a lesson count or video hours.

What is concrete is four weekly live coaching calls, done-for-you templates and a YouTube ads system. What is not: any outline of the training, and the seller is shown only as Rob with no company. The page crosses out a $2,991 regular price and values three components at $997 each, which are anchors rather than prices anyone is charged.

The refund picture also conflicts. The order form shows a 60-day window, but the seller's own refund page says downloaded products cannot be refunded. When two pages disagree, ask the seller in writing which one applies, and read money-back guarantees: sales page vs order form first.

What about the cheapest offer in the set?

Mini-Course Mastery costs $14 and is the one Pass, at 5.6, because it never states its format, length or who made it.

A low price does not fix a blank listing. The order form carries no product description, the module list is missing and the seller is only a Digistore24 account name. The refund window is 60 days, which is the one thing the buyer can rely on.

Compare that with the $25 challenge course above. Both are cheap; only one tells you what you get.

Can any of these courses promise that your course will sell?

No. Creating a course and selling it are separate problems, and sales depend on your topic, your audience and your marketing, none of which a course can supply.

Read any income number as the seller's own statement. The guidance in income disclaimers explained applies here, and so does a simple budget test: if you cannot afford to lose the price of the course, do not buy it on the strength of a launch story.

We rate the offer, not the outcome, and we have not bought or used any of these products.

What should you do before you buy one?

Compare the offer to the checklist below, read the full review and check the Digistore24 order form for the price and refund window before you pay.

Pre-purchase checklist

  1. Find the lesson count and video hours; if neither is stated, treat the price as unproven.
  2. Find the teacher or seller by name and look for a legal notice.
  3. Ignore crossed-out regular prices and stacked values; use the order form total.
  4. Confirm the refund window on the order form, and note the date you buy.
  5. Decide whether you already have a topic and an audience, since the course will not supply either.

If you are new to course creation, a clearly specified $47 course with a platform you can look up is a lower-risk start than a vague $497 system.

Frequently asked questions

Are courses about creating online courses worth it?

Some are. Of the 11 we scored as of October 2026, 2 are Worth it, 8 are Worth a look and 1 is a Pass. The Worth it ones state their contents and a named platform.

How much do courses about creating courses cost?

In our set of 11, prices run from $14 to $497, with a median of $37. Seven are $37 ebooks from one seller.

Which course-creation offer scores highest?

Masterclass Mastery and Plan Your First 3-Day Challenge both score 7.3 and both are Worth it. They are the two highest in this set.

Do course-creation courses guarantee sales?

No. Creating a course and getting buyers are different jobs, and the reviews note that results depend on your audience and your own effort.

Can I get a refund on a Digistore24 course?

Many order forms show a 60-day window, but check each one and compare it with the seller's own page. Course Creator System shows a 60-day form window while its seller page says downloads are non-refundable.
