Shipping Fees on Digital-Looking Products: What Our Data Shows
105 of our audited offers list shipping. 14 pair an ebook with a printed edition that adds a fee, usually about $10. Here is who adds it and how to check.
Which offers add shipping fees to digital-looking products?
In our catalog, mostly survival and health books that sell a digital edition and a printed one, and supplement offers that charge shipping on small packs. We found 14 such book offers, 13 of them on ClickBank order forms.
Worthorpass audits the sales page and the order form of each offer. We never bought or used any product, so everything here comes from what the form shows. As of October 2026 the catalog holds 1920 offers, from Digistore24 and from ClickBank order forms. The question is usually asked about Digistore24, but our data says most of the shipping cases sit on ClickBank forms: 65 of the 105 offers with a Shipping line show a ClickBank vendor, and 40 are Digistore24.
A short note on method. We searched the price notes and the Shipping spec of every review with a script. Where a number below looks like a count, it is a count of reviews in which that wording appears. We make no claim about offers we have not audited.
What counts as a shipping fee on a digital-looking product?
Any line on the order form that adds postage to something the sales page presents like a download or a program. We saw three patterns, and only the first is a true digital-or-print choice.
We call a product digital-looking when the page sells it as an ebook, a program or a guide, even though a physical version exists behind the buy button. The fee is rarely hidden. It usually appears as its own line, but you only see it after you pick the edition on the form.
The three patterns in our data
- Digital or print choice: the ebook has no shipping, the printed book adds a fee. Example: The Home Doctor at $37.00 digital or $46.99 with $9.99 shipping.
- Physical product sold like a program: bottles, kits or devices with a shipping line that shrinks as the pack gets bigger. Example: Vigosurge, $9.95 on the 1-bottle pack and free on 3 and 6 bottles.
- Fee on something that reads as a download: the Kindle case order form charges $9.99 shipping while saying an e-book is delivered, and its German version calls it a digital download with no shipping.
How much does the printed edition cost on top?
In the 12 offers where both prices are stated, the physical edition costs a median 27% more than the digital one. The shipping fee itself is usually $9.95 or $9.99, with a few at $7.99.
| Product | Category | Offer score | Price | Billing | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Home Doctor: Practical Medicine for Every Household | Survival | 7.4/10 | $37 | One-time payment | Worth it |
| Foraging Secrets | Survival | 7.0/10 | $37 | One-time payment | Worth it |
| Survival Sanctuary | Survival | 6.6/10 | $37 | One-time payment | Worth it |
| The Doctor's Book of Survival Home Remedies | Survival | 6.3/10 | $37 | One-time payment, digital or physical plus shipping | Worth a look |
| Water Freedom System | Survival | 5.2/10 | $39.69 | One-time payment, digital download or physical book with shipping | Pass |
| Heartburn No More | Health & Fitness | 5.0/10 | $37 | One-time payment, digital or physical package | Pass |
| Diabetes Freedom | Health & Fitness | 5.1/10 | $37 | One-time payment, digital or DVD and book bundle | Pass |
Among the 14 price notes that pair a digital edition with a paid physical one, 13 state a US shipping fee. They run from $7.99 to $15, and the median is $9.99. Six are exactly $9.99 and two are $9.95. For example, Foraging Secrets charges $37.00 for the ebook and $37.00 plus $9.99 for the printed bundle, $46.99 in total, with a 60-day refund window on both.
The price gap ranges from 21.6% to 59.6%. The top of that range is Ageless Knees, where the DVD and wand cost $74.99 against $47.00 digital, and an international physical cart adds a much higher $29.27 shipping charge.
By verdict, these 14 split into 4 Worth it, 3 Worth a look and 7 Pass, with a median score of 6.0. A shipping line is a fact about the order form, not a verdict. The subscores in each review say what drove the result, and our methodology page explains how they combine.
Do some listings include shipping in the price?
Yes. Several Digistore24 listings of printed books show free shipping at prices from $37 to $59, so a printed book does not have to add a fee.
The Home Doctor (Physical Book) lists free shipping and handling at $37.00 on its Digistore24 order form. The Lost Superfoods (Physical + Digital) has the same free shipping spec at $37, and the Medicinal Garden Kit is $59.00 with free shipping. These are different listings from the ClickBank carts above, so compare the total, not the headline.
The sales tax is a second layer. The Survival MD printed edition charges $46.99 ($37 plus $9.99 shipping) plus 8.25% sales tax, $50.87 in total. Our guide to sales tax and shipping at checkout shows how the total grows.
Why do supplement offers charge shipping on small packs?
The structure is common: a fee of about $10 on one or two bottles and free shipping on three or six. We found 33 offers where the Shipping line ties the fee to pack size.
| Product | Category | Offer score | Price | Billing | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fluxactive Complete | Health & Fitness | 6.7/10 | $88.95 | One-time payment, 1 to 6 bottles | Worth it |
| Joint Genesis (Biodynamix) | Health & Fitness | 7.0/10 | $167.95 | One-time payment, 2 to 6 months supply | Worth it |
| HydroLean XT | Health & Fitness | 6.1/10 | $78.99 | One-time payment, 1 to 6 bottles | Worth a look |
| VigoSurge | Health & Fitness | 5.7/10 | $88.95 | One-time payment, 1 to 6 bottles | Worth a look |
| BloodArmor | Health & Fitness | 4.5/10 | $167.99 | One-time payment, 2 to 6 bottles | Pass |
| GlycoMute | Health & Fitness | 4.9/10 | $167.95 | One-time payment, 2 to 6 bottles | Pass |
Of the 105 offers with a Shipping line, 78 are in health-fitness, and 31 of the 105 mention a $9.95 or $9.99 fee. In 33, the wording ties a fee to a smaller package and says the larger ones are free, such as Hydrolean XT ($9.99 for the 1-bottle cart, free on 3 and 6) and Fluxactive Complete Prostate ($9.95 on the 1-bottle order, free on 3 and 6).
The effect is that the cheapest way to try a product costs extra, and the free-shipping tier is the biggest order. That is an observation about how the order form is built, not a claim about intent. Among these 33, 3 are Worth it, 16 Worth a look and 14 Pass. Offers with a Shipping line have a median score of 5.6, against 6.1 for all 1920 offers.

What changes if you order from outside the US?
The shipping line can change completely. In our data, 12 of the 105 shipping lines mention the German form or euros, and 10 mention other countries or fees outside the US.
A free US line can turn into a euro fee on another country's form. Man Greens shows $0 on the US form and EUR 48.04 on the German form. Nanotowels Water Liberty lists EUR 23.43 for one pack on the German form. On Ageless Shoulders the German form totals EUR 115.00, which includes VAT of EUR 18.36 and international shipping of EUR 29.28.
Most of the 105 lines do not say what happens abroad, so no mention does not mean free. Load the form for your own country before you decide.
How do you spot the fee before you pay?
Choose the edition you want on the order form, then read the line items and the total before you enter any card details. The fee shows only after the edition is selected.
Before you click Buy
- Pick the edition first. The headline price is often the digital one.
- Read the order summary for a shipping, handling or insurance line, and note whether it is ticked by default.
- Compare the total with the price on the page. A gap is usually shipping or tax.
- Change the country on the form if you live outside the US and see whether the total moves.
- Check whether a bigger pack removes the fee, and ask whether you want that much product.
Five checks take about two minutes:
What should you do next?
Decide whether you want the print edition at all. If a digital copy is enough, take the digital option and skip the fee.
If you do want print, compare the all-in total across listings, not the headline price. Our guides on how to read an order form and on free offers with a fee walk through the pattern. The survival category holds most of the book cases above.

Frequently asked questions
Why does an ebook offer charge shipping?
Usually because the form also sells a printed or DVD edition and the fee belongs to that edition. In 13 of the 14 price notes we found, the digital option had no shipping. A Kindle case offer charges $9.99 shipping while saying an e-book is delivered, so check it.
How much is shipping on a printed book bundle?
Of the 13 notes with a stated US fee, the median is $9.99 and the range is $7.99 to $15, as of October 2026. The printed edition costs a median 27% more than the digital one.
Is shipping included in the order form total?
The form shows it as a line item and includes it in the total. Survival MD shows $46.99 ($37 plus $9.99 shipping) plus 8.25% sales tax, $50.87 in total.
Does free shipping depend on the pack size?
Often. In 33 supplement offers a fee applies to smaller packs and the 3 or 6 bottle packs ship free. Check the exact pack on the form.
Do shipping fees differ for buyers outside the US?
They can. Man Greens lists $0 on the US form and EUR 48.04 on the German form. Load the form for your own country.
