Selling Canva Templates and Design Assets: What to Check Before You Buy

What should you check before buying a Canva template or design-asset business?

Check the real price on the order form, whether the licence lets you resell the files, who the seller is, and what you actually receive. These four gaps explain most of the low scores in this niche.

There are two kinds of offer here. Some are guides that teach you to make and list designs, such as Canva Cash Machine. Others are files you could resell, such as the +90 Mega CV Templates Bundle. The checks are different for each, so work out which one you are buying first.

How do these offers score overall?

The 17 offers average a 6.4 score. Two earned Worth it, fifteen Worth a look and none a Pass, as of October 2026.

We picked the 17 by hand from names and descriptions that mention Canva, Etsy, print on demand, printables, graphics or commercial design licences, across make money online, software and hobbies and crafts. The median price is $33.15 and the range is $3.00 to $67.00 before tax.

The top of the group is the Mega CV Templates Bundle at 7.2 for $7, followed by Print on Demand Profits at 7.1 and Canva Cash Machine and Graphics Design Assets at 7.0 each. The two Worth it recommendations are Mega CV Templates and ClickDesigns Commercial (6.7, $67).

Is the price on the page the price you pay?

Not always. Canva Cash Machine and Print on Demand Profits charge $97 on the order form unless the seller's own buy button applies a voucher that brings the price to $27.

The reviews of both guides note that the vendor's button applies a voucher (CANVACASH and Print70) and that the form shows $97 without it. Other odd totals come from conversion or tax. Etsy Profits Playbook shows $17.05 and the Etsy Starter Kit $33.15, which the reviews say suggests a price set in euros and converted. ClickDesigns Commercial lists $67 plus 8.25% US sales tax ($72.53) on one form, while a second listing of the same edition charges $47.00. Can you actually sell what you buy?

Only if the licence says so. Mega CV Templates lists a commercial license on the checkout and ClickDesigns Commercial lists commercial rights, while other packs say little or nothing.

A template pack is only a business if you may sell it or sell work made from it. Mega CV Templates states a commercial license per the checkout and the review says it lets you sell resume design as a service. ClickDesigns Commercial states commercial rights to sell the graphics it makes, but the review flags income claims around that license.

Resell rights work differently. Trendy Aesthetic Carousels is a $12.34 bundle of Canva carousel sets with master resell rights, and the review points out that templates sold this way look the same across many accounts. Our guide to PLR and resell rights covers what to ask before paying.

Who is the seller, and why does it matter?

Nine of the 17 offers score 4.0 or lower on vendor transparency, which usually means a first name, a brand handle or no address on the page.

30 Ready to Use Gratitude Posts names the seller as April, first name only, with no legal notice. Etsy Profits Playbook comes from a Digistore24 merchant account called moneywithangie with no postal address or phone found. Canva Cash Machine and Print on Demand Profits both have no verifiable identity behind the credited author.

By contrast, the second ClickDesigns Commercial listing names 123 Click Limited with a London address in its privacy policy. If you plan to resell files commercially, a seller you can identify is worth more than a bigger library. See who sells this for how we check.

What do you actually receive?

Check for a stated file count, format and delivery method. Graphics Design Assets claims a 200GB library for $7.99, but the order form does not say how the files are delivered.

Mega CV Templates names its formats (PSD, AI and PDF) and print spec (300 DPI, CMYK), but not the exact template count and it needs Photoshop or Illustrator for full value. Trendy Aesthetic Carousels lists 10 carousel sets, 6 sticker packs, 400 reels and 2 animated carousels, delivered as a PDF with links and needing a free Canva account.

Link delivery matters. The Canva Cash Machine review notes that its 50 bonus Canva templates are supplied as links, so access depends on those links staying live. Our guide on getting access after you pay explains what to save on day one.

What if the sales page itself looks like an unfinished template?

Treat it as a warning. Her Hidden Hustle (4.7), The Quiet Money Methode (4.1) and The Money Wave Accelerator (3.9) all rest on template pages with blanks or placeholders where the product details should be.

These three are not design offers, but they show a risk that is common in this part of the catalog: pages built from a template and left unfilled. The review of Her Hidden Hustle says blank product names remain on the page and nothing describes the methods. The Quiet Money Methode shows an embedded payment box reading $0 although the form charges $57.99. The Money Wave Accelerator still shows placeholder text in its footer.

A $3 template pack can be a fair deal, but a page that does not say what the product is should not get your card. See offers without a sales page and template publishers: many titles, one price.

What is a quick checklist before you pay?

Read the total on the order form, find the licence, name the seller, list what you receive and note the refund window date.

1. Open the order form without any voucher and note the total with tax.
2. Find the licence wording and check it covers selling or resale.
3. Look for a company name and address, not only a first name or handle.
4. List what you receive: file count, format, software needed, how it is delivered.
5. Note the refund window (most here show 60 days; ClickDesigns shows 30) and save the date.
