Best Woodworking, Boat and Shed Plans on Digistore24, Ranked

What are the best woodworking, boat and shed plans on Digistore24?

On our scores, 101 Easy Scroll Saw Patterns (7.9), MyBoatPlans (7.6) and Easy 8 Scroll Saw Patterns (7.1) are the best of seven, and each is Worth it.

This is a ranking of the offers, not of the plans inside them. We read the sales page and the Digistore24 order form for each product, and we have not bought or used any of them. The score reflects clarity, price honesty, refund terms, who the seller is and how far the claims can be checked.

The seven are the woodworking, boat and shed plan offers, plus woodworking-skill guides, that we found by searching our catalog in October 2026. They sit in hobbies and crafts and home and garden.

How do the seven offers rank?

From 7.9 down to a tie at 6.5. The table shows score, price, billing and verdict for each, and the notes below add the refund window.

Offers mentioned in this section
ProductCategoryOffer scorePriceBillingVerdict
101 Easy Scroll Saw Patterns Hobbies & Crafts 7.9/10 $99.99 One-time payment Worth it
MyBoatPlans Hobbies & Crafts 7.6/10 $47 One-time payment Worth it
Easy 8 Scroll Saw Patterns (Richard Myrchak) Hobbies & Crafts 7.1/10 $21.59 One-time payment Worth it
Ryan Shed Plans Home & Garden 6.9/10 $37 One-time payment Worth a look
TedsWoodworking Hobbies & Crafts 6.6/10 $67 One-time payment Worth a look
Ultimate Small Shop Home & Garden 6.5/10 $29 One-time payment Worth a look
The Beginner's Guide to Woodworking with Hand Tools Hobbies & Crafts 6.5/10 $114 One-time payment, VAT included Worth a look

Refund windows as recorded on each order form: MyBoatPlans, Easy 8 Scroll Saw Patterns, Ryan Shed Plans and Ultimate Small Shop all show 60 days. TedsWoodworking shows 180 days, the longest of the group. 101 Easy Scroll Saw Patterns advertises no refund window of its own, so Digistore24's buyer policy applies.

The Beginner's Guide to Woodworking with Hand Tools is the last row at 6.5 and $114. The review does not record a stated window, so check your own order form.

What separates the top of the list from the bottom?

Mostly the seller. The top two score 9 and 8 on vendor transparency, while the four lowest sit at 4.5 or below on it.

Price does not predict rank. The top offer costs $99.99 and the third costs $21.59. What the leaders share is a named person with a traceable presence: the 101 patterns designer is named with a company and a town in Manitoba, and the MyBoatPlans builder is named with a US mailing address.

The lower four have a name at best. Ryan Shed Plans and Ultimate Small Shop name an individual author but no company or address. TedsWoodworking names only a founder. The hand tools guide names nobody. None of that says the plans are poor. It means a buyer has less to hold on to if something goes wrong.

Vendor transparency scores, as of October 2026

  • 101 Easy Scroll Saw Patterns: 9
  • MyBoatPlans: 8
  • Easy 8 Scroll Saw Patterns: 5
  • Ryan Shed Plans and TedsWoodworking: 4.5 each
  • Ultimate Small Shop: 4
  • The Beginner's Guide to Woodworking with Hand Tools: 3.5

Are 518, 12,000 or 16,000 plans worth it?

The counts are claims from the sales pages. At $47, $37 and $67 the cost per plan is tiny, but plan quality cannot be checked before paying.

MyBoatPlans lists 518 boat plans by name, with over 40 videos and CAD tools, for $47. That is roughly nine cents a plan. Ryan Shed Plans describes more than 12,000 shed plans with materials lists and CAD drawings for $37. TedsWoodworking describes more than 16,000 plans for $67, per its page.

A low cost per plan says little. You will build one or two projects, not 12,000, so the useful question is whether the few plans you need are clear and complete. The MyBoatPlans review notes that the plans are named individually, which lets you check for your design, but that no full sample plan was shown. The Ryan Shed Plans review records that four bonuses are named in the cart but not described.

TedsWoodworking carries a specific caution. Its review notes that the page opens with off-topic technical jargon that reads as aimed at automated reviewers, and that the claim of 16,000 tested plans cannot be verified from the page. It keeps the longest refund window of the seven, which is the practical protection.

How do the two scroll saw pattern sets compare?

101 Easy Scroll Saw Patterns costs $99.99 for 101 patterns, about $0.99 each. Easy 8 costs $19.99 plus tax for 8 patterns, about $2.50 each.

Both come from Richard Myrchak. The larger set states its limits before you pay: the zip holds fewer PDFs than patterns because some files carry several ornaments, the licence allows selling finished woodwork but not the files, and laser cutter and CNC owners are told the files will not suit them. It lists no refund window of its own.

Easy 8 Scroll Saw Patterns shows the eight designs before you buy and has a 60-day window on the order form, but no postal address for the designer. The order form total in our check was $21.59 with 8 percent sales tax from a US address. Either set suits someone who already owns a scroll saw. Neither helps if you cut with a laser.

Which offer fits which kind of builder?

Boat builders look at MyBoatPlans, scroll saw hobbyists at the pattern sets, shed builders at Ryan Shed Plans, and anyone starting a workshop at Ultimate Small Shop.

Ultimate Small Shop is not a plan library. It is a $29 guide by Ralph Chapman on setting up a small home workshop under $1,000, with tool lists and a supplier list. Its review flags that the order form mentions 180 days in one sentence while the refund field and the pages say 60, and we treat 60 as the actual term.

The hand tools guide is the weakest buy on value. Its value for money sub-score is 3.5, because no page count, running time or author is published to weigh against $114. It may suit a beginner who wants to avoid power tools, but the page gives little to check.

If your goal is to sell what you build, WoodProfits is a different product: a $37 guide to starting a woodworking business that scores 7.1 and is Worth it. It is not a plan library, so it is outside the ranking, and its income language is described in the review as optimistic.

What should you check before you buy plans?

Check who sells them, what a sample looks like, what the refund window is on the order form and whether the file format fits your tools.

Before you pay

  1. Find a named seller. Our guide on who sells this shows where to look.
  2. Ask for a sample, or check whether the page shows one. A listing that names individual plans beats one that only gives a count.
  3. Read the refund window on the order form, not only on the page. The page versus order form guide explains the mismatch.
  4. Confirm the format and licence. Printed patterns, CAD files and videos are different things, and some licences bar reselling the files.
  5. Match the plan to your skills and tools. A project you cannot finish is the costliest plan of all.

For craft downloads in general, see what to check in craft and hobby downloads. For the scoring, see our methodology. Structural plans for sheds and boats are only as safe as the work you do from them, so follow local building rules and use a qualified person where they apply.
