Best Foraging and Wild-Food Guides on Digistore24, Ranked

What are the best foraging and wild-food guides on Digistore24?

On our scores, The Lost Superfoods (7.2), Foraging Secrets (7.0) and The Forager's Guide to Wild Foods (6.7) rank highest of the seven we reviewed, and all three are Worth it.

This ranks the offers, not the plants or the identification quality inside the books. We read each sales page and order form and we have not bought or used any of them. The score reflects clarity, price honesty, refund terms, who the seller is and how far the claims can be checked. See our methodology for the seven criteria.

The seven are the foraging and wild-food guides we found in our catalog in October 2026. All seven sit in survival, and they sell on Digistore24 or ClickBank. Two of the seven are food-storage books, not plant guides, which we explain below.

How do the seven guides rank?

From 7.2 down to 6.4, with a three-way tie at 6.6. The table gives score, price and verdict, and the notes add billing and refund window.

The Foldable Forager Survival 6.4/10 $39.96 One-time payment, packs of 4 to 20 Worth a look

All seven are one-time payments, with no subscription. The refund window on the order form is 60 days for The Lost Superfoods, Foraging Secrets, Oregon Foraging For Beginners, U.K. Foraging For Beginners and The Foldable Forager.

The Digistore24 listings of The Forager's Guide to Wild Foods and the printed Lost Superfoods record no vendor-stated window, so check your own order form. Their ties at 6.6 show why the verdict can differ from the score: the printed Lost Superfoods listing and both regional guides score 6.6, but only the first is Worth it.

What separates the top of the list from the bottom?

Mostly who stands behind the book. The top guide names its author and a company address, while the two regional guides name no author at all.

Price does not separate them. Four guides cost $37, two cost $27 and one is $39.96. What moves the score is vendor transparency and how much the page says about the content. The Lost Superfoods names its author with a bio page, and the company, Global Brother LLC of Bannockburn, Illinois. It scores 7.5 on vendor transparency.

Foraging Secrets gives a real return address in Oklahoma City but no company name, and scores 5.5. The Digistore24 listings give no vendor name and score 5.5 and 6. The UK and Oregon guides, sold by an account called Book2Book with no company, address or legal notice, score 2.5. In a subject where a wrong plant can harm you, an unnamed author matters more than usual.

Vendor transparency scores, as of October 2026

  • The Lost Superfoods (ClickBank listing): 7.5
  • The Forager's Guide to Wild Foods and The Foldable Forager: 6 each
  • Foraging Secrets and The Lost Superfoods (Digistore24 listing): 5.5 each
  • U.K. Foraging For Beginners and Oregon Foraging For Beginners: 2.5 each

Are all seven actually foraging guides?

No. Both Lost Superfoods listings cover 120-plus long-storage foods, not wild-plant identification, so they answer a different question from the other five.

The Lost Superfoods is described as a story-driven read on historical long-storage foods, with storage notes. The review says it leans on historical framing over hard nutrition data. It is a fit for preppers who want food-storage ideas, not for someone who wants to identify a plant on a trail.

Foraging Secrets is closer to a field guide: over 100 wild plants with photos, a section on poisonous lookalikes and recipes. The Foldable Forager is a wallet-sized printed guide to 55-plus edible plants, trees, nuts, mushrooms and seaweed, with a universal edibility test. The Forager's Guide to Wild Foods is a printed book plus a digital copy and three bonus guides.

What does each guide really cost?

$37 gets you a digital copy or a printed-plus-digital set at most listings. The Foldable Forager is the exception: its cheapest cart is a pack of four for $39.96.

Foraging Secrets and The Lost Superfoods offer a digital edition at $37.00 and a print-plus-digital version at $37.00 plus $9.99 shipping, $46.99 in all. The Digistore24 print-plus-digital listings of The Forager's Guide and The Lost Superfoods show $37.00 with $0.00 shipping.

The Foldable Forager advertises $19.99 a book, but the order form has no single-copy option. Packs run 4 for $39.96 ($9.99 each), 8 for $71.92, 12 for $95.98 and 20 for $139.80, with free shipping and a 60-day refund. It scores 5.5 on pricing honesty because of that gap.

The other six score 7.5 to 8.5 on pricing honesty. For related checkout traps, see prices that differ between page and form.

Should I buy a regional beginner guide?

A regional guide fits local plants better, but the two we reviewed name no author and do not state a species count, so you cannot judge them before paying.

U.K. Foraging For Beginners and Oregon Foraging For Beginners both cost $27.00 once, with a 60-day refund window and no US sales tax on the form. The UK package lists a 10-chapter structure and four bonus files. The Oregon ebook lists two bonuses.

Both stress safety and lookalikes, which is right for beginners. But neither says who wrote it, how many species it covers or what experience stands behind it. Both are Worth a look at 6.6. If you want a regional guide, a local foraging group or extension service is a better check on what grows near you.

How do I choose and use a foraging guide safely?

Pick the guide whose seller you can name, confirm every plant with a second source, and never eat anything you cannot identify with certainty.

Before you buy

  1. Decide whether you want plant identification or food storage. They are different books.
  2. Check whether an author and company are named on the page or the form.
  3. Choose a guide that gives a species count, photos and a lookalike section.
  4. Read the order form for the total, shipping and the refund window.
  5. Plan to cross-check every plant with a second source before eating it.

The scores say how clear and honest an offer is. They do not say whether a plant description is correct. Our broader guide to survival and prepping guides covers more of this category, and the herbal remedy book checks apply where a book links plants to health benefits.

Foraging Secrets, for example, credits some plants with liver, digestion and immunity benefits without listing sources. Treat those lines as the seller's claim, and talk to a doctor before using wild plants for any health purpose.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best foraging guide on Digistore24?

How much does a foraging guide cost?
